In 2014, Terri Holland, the owner and founder of Utah CNA Training Centers worked with P3 Utah, a local non-profit dedicated to promoting triple bottom line success to help establish a new kind of corporation in Utah. Benefit Corporation status is a way to help businesses focus on social and environmental concerns and as well as profitability. Benefit Corporations are legal in 32 states.
On May 13, 2014 Utah became the 20th state that established the Benefit Corporation status in Utah. It is with pride that we announce that Utah CNA Training Centers as a dba of (formerly) Wasatch CNA Centers, Inc. and now TAC Educational Services, Inc. is THE first legal Benefit Corporation in Utah. For more information on the signing of the bill, what it means in Utah go to http://corporations.utah.gov/business/bc.html. This act demonstrates our commitment to our community and to the premise that business should be a force for good.
This is why we are engaged in a constant aim to improve the quality of our programs, to expand their availability and to flexible, affordable and responsive to the needs of our students and the employers who hire them.
OUR PUBLIC GOOD – Service to Our Community
Utah CNA Training Centers is proud to dedicate a portion of its profits to offering the Family Caregiver Training Program to the community. This program allows family caregivers (there are more than 40 million in America caring for another adult) to learn basic and effective ways to physically care for another adult safely. The program is offered every week and includes 4-6 different rotating sessions focused on specific caregiver needs.
Volunteers to provide respite care are always needed and appreciated!
We are committed to being a force for good in the world, serving our community with pride, compassion and dignity.
